Do you push yourself to try new things, to dive right in, even though you can't swim?
I've always been that way. In my early days at work, I think that made me a bit of a bulldozer. Nothing stood in the way of what I wanted to achieve. As I have matured in my thinking, self-awareness and behaviours, I've learnt to be less bulldozer-like. But what hasn't changed is my appetite to explore, try something new and persevere until it works.
Don't be afraid to grow
Amidst the chaos of the year 2020, I have found it to have been incredible in terms of the opportunities for growth. Growth in my knowledge, skills, in the way I serve my clients and community and in my entire business blueprint.
In the spirit of new adventures, growth and expansion, I tried out a fully automated process to share some meaningful training content. It felt good to have had hundreds of people going through the process, to have had all of the moving parts (and there were many) in motion, to have been agile (boy did I need to be), to stay motivated and keep moving until I could get to the end.
When people grow and stretch themselves, a lot is happening in the background.
Remember, personal growth is tough in the beginning, tough in the middle, and maybe even tough at the end, but the growth is definitely worth the effort.
